8th Grade Math Course Overview

This year, the 8th grade math curriculum will be a course in geometry integrated with pre-algebra and early algebra fundamentals. 

We will continue with Problems of the Week (POWs) approximately every other week, but the schedule for POWs this year is a little different: Students will receive a new POW on Wednesdays and spend the hour-long Wednesday class solving it in a small group. They will begin their write-up Wednesday and Thursday nights and will present their solution and take notes on other groups' presentations on Friday. The final write-up is due the following Monday.
