Travel is an integral part of the Compass School experience.  Students develop a confidence and skill around travel through their years at Compass.  This experience is developed in a measured manner to match the needs of the individual student and their level of maturity.

The Trip to Mexico involves a comprehensive approach to travel.  This year,we are embarking on a sustainable approach to travel.   This trip represents the first of many similar trips to explore the culture and issues surrounding  Mexican border towns, life in a small town and indiginous people in the Gulf of California. 

As the itinerary indicates, students will have the opportunity to interact with US Border Patrol, mexican families intent on moving to the US, faand milies living in Mexico.  Students will be arranged in separate groups intending to research  three different aspects of the question of immigration . The three aspects include:  Socio-political, economic and cultural.
