-Wednesday, December 12: SNOW DELAY!

with 45 minutes, we decided to do a few madlibs and then hear a couple stories out loud. First, we listened to a 100 word story on Podcast. Then, Julia read a story outloud, "A&P" by John Updike. We discussed it, and went to lunch.

NO HW--other than getting those applications done!

-Thursday, December 6: We discussed HW story by Maupassant. For HW tonight, prepare for in-class essay tomorrow on one story we've read this week. You might think about making a connection between two characters. To prepare: Freewrite, do a web to think through your forming ideas, or make an outline.

Also, read Faulkner's "A Rose for Emily" (chosen by our story selection commitee: Ian and Asah). This story can most likely be found online.

-November 27, 2007: This week we're finishing Oeidpus Rex and working on college applications.
