Aggie's puppies

The Play by Play... pre-puppies and birth

Two Days Before
I knew the puppies were coming because she gave up on the ball

Nesting
Then she hid under the stairs and started "nesting"

She yelped once around 7pm. I stayed up with her until

2 am and she was leaking but that it.

Puppy 1
The first puppy didn't come until 6:30 the next morning.

She came and got us and her body was contracting- she was still oozing.

She was so busy licking the puppy it couldn't latch on. It kept trying to

climb back in. Guess it's warm.

The Sack
The first two came out busting their sack along the way.

The third came with sack and all- She did eat it- and severed the

umbilical cord all her self. They dragged along behind them.

They all wined and made crazy noise.

Puppy five

WARNING! This is graphic..

Puppy six
The vet said there were six. After five Victoria and Maya came over to wait.

Aggie was confused by the human crying.

Puppy six
We waited an hour and a half for puppy six. When Victoria and Maya left

Aggie got up to pee. She had the sixth right away after going outside.

This puppy came close to noon.

Surprise
Of course there was a surprise puppy seven close to 1pm.

Everyone ate and slept.

Jason
Jason an old friend and new dad stopped by for a quick surprise visit.

Yes- Aggie let us pick them up   If I was in her pool and picked up ones

who weren't nursing she seemed fine with it. .

I put little threads around their necks so I could tell them apart. I thought personalities would start to emerge and I could tell if one

was getting to the food last. They still all seem very similar.  They are beginning to vary in size and some wag tails while other don't.

But mostly they crawl and feed and yip.

EATING
Feeding time is what it is all about.

Escape
They look very peaceful here but one night she woke us up three or four

times in hopes to escape. She wanted to hide from the puppies.

But as a Mom Aggie is doing great. SHe even eats all poop and licks them

to start them peeing to keep mess down.

Size
They have almost doubled in size the first week.

At the end of this week the puppies started to open there eyes. Yet, once opened, a four or five day process they didn't use them. They

kept sniffing.

eyes Out of focus- but note the half opened eyes   power sniffers-   New puppy owners :)

They just keep growing - cuter and cter, louder and louder.

They now live outside and chase after Aggie.

Aggie trying to escape-   Note the biting- arrr....   Warm cute moments but note the wrestlers in the back.
